Anyone who's pushed deep into Endfield knows gear artificing can drain your stash faster than almost anything else, which is why a lot of players start looking into Arknights endfield boosting after a few bad sessions. The system looks simple at first. Feed one item into another, chase a better stat, move on. But that's not how it really plays out. What matters is what you feed, when you do it, and whether the piece you're working on is even worth the cost. If you go in blind, you'll burn catalysts on gear that won't stay in your loadout for long, and that mistake adds up fast.

The first thing most people miss is the Good Match check. It's not fluff. It decides whether your attempt has a real shot or if you're just rolling the dice. When the fodder piece has a stronger version of the stat you want to improve, your odds jump in a big way. If it doesn't, the chance feels awful, and honestly, it usually is. So don't treat every extra drop as trash. Some pieces are better kept, even if the set is useless, just because they rolled one unusually high stat. Later on, those pieces become the fuel that actually gives you value instead of fake progress.

This is where a lot of farming time gets wasted. Players get a decent purple item, maybe one with a serviceable stat line, and they start pumping materials into it because it feels good in the moment. Bad move. Artificing isn't cheap, and every stat has a limit on how many times it can be pushed. Once those attempts are spent, they're spent. Region materials and duplicate pieces don't come in fast enough to support casual upgrades on temporary gear. You're much better off waiting until you've got gold equipment with the right bonus, solid starting rolls, and a real chance of staying equipped for a long time.

Failure feels rough, sure, but the game isn't completely screwing you over. There's a hidden pity track tied to each stat on each individual item. That means failed attempts are still building toward something. The trap is getting impatient. A few misses happen, then people switch to another stat because they think the first one is cursed. It isn't. You're just throwing away the progress you quietly built. If your piece needs attack, cooldown, or whatever core stat fits the character, keep aiming there. One focused path usually gets better results than bouncing around and hoping for a lucky break.

The cleanest way to save resources is to be a bit harsh about what counts as useful. Not every number on the screen deserves your catalysts. Damage dealers want scaling that moves their output in a noticeable way. Supports often care more about uptime or skill flow. Tanks are the rare case where defensive lines may be worth chasing. Everything else is often bait. If a stat won't change how the character plays, it probably shouldn't be your target. That mindset alone can save a huge amount of materials, and if you're trying to speed up the grind without wasting weeks, some players even look to buy Arknights endfield boosting while still following the same basic rule: only invest hard when the gear is truly endgame-ready.
